Savannah Arranaga, LPC-A is a passionate therapist dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through life’s challenges. With a client-centered approach, Savannah creates a safe, non-judgmental space where young people feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their emotions. Drawing on years of experience working in foster care, inpatient settings, and trauma-informed care, Savannah has a deep understanding of the complex and varied needs of youth, especially those who have experienced trauma or significant life transitions.
As an advocate for the mental and emotional well-being of young minds, Savannah believes in the power of creative therapies to facilitate healing and self-expression. She is trained in play therapy, sand tray therapy, and other creative modalities to help children and teens process difficult feelings in ways that feel natural and comfortable to them. Whether it’s through the symbolic nature of sand tray work or the imaginative play of a therapy session, Savannah helps each person communicate in ways that go beyond words.
Understanding that parents play an essential role in their child’s therapeutic journey, Savannah also offers parent coaching to equip families with tools and strategies to better support their children. By partnering with caregivers, Savannah helps build stronger family dynamics and promotes emotional resilience in both children and parents.
Savannah is also trained in trust-based relational intervention (TBRI), an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach designed to meet the needs of vulnerable children, especially those with early adverse experiences or in foster care. In addition to creative therapies, Savannah incorporates evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
She is passionate about helping young people navigate the ups and downs of life, whether they are facing anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, or emotional regulation difficulties. Her goal is to walk alongside each client with empathy and care, empowering them to discover their inner strengths and achieve meaningful change.
Savannah holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lubbock Christian University.
When not at Samaritan Center, Savannah spends her time crocheting, bird watching, gardening, and playing video games.
