Jasmine Blanco is a Bachelor of Social Work student, from The University of Texas at Austin, completing her practicum as a Care Management Intern at Samaritan Center. She provides a client-centered and supportive space where individuals can explore resources, strengthen community connections, and work through barriers to care. Jasmine approaches care management with a trauma-informed and equity-focused lens, seeking to empower clients and honor their unique experiences. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is committed to supporting clients in the language they feel most comfortable.
Her background includes working with children at the YMCA, mentoring foster youth through a service-learning internship with Austin Pets Alive, and participating in a May Term program in Washington, D.C., where she engaged with agencies to learn more about the role of social work in strengthening systems of support. Jasmine’s professional interests include the ways cultural barriers and systems of power influence access to care and shape client well-being. Through her practicum, Jasmine hopes to deepen her care management skills while contributing to Samaritan Center’s mission of supporting healthy minds, bodies, and spirits.
Jasmine Blanco is an intern supervised by Stephanie Martinez, LCSW.
