Robert Levy, LPC-A is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. In session, Robert creates space for clients to slow down and reflect on where they are, how they got there, and where they may want to go next. He approaches this work with the belief that while people don’t choose their histories, their biology, or the conditions they were born into, they remain beings in motion, shaped by experience but never fully determined by it.
His approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, existential thought, and phenomenology. That means he’s less focused on diagnoses or quick fixes, and more attuned to how a person’s life is actually lived: from the inside, in the present moment and the day to day. His work focuses on how meaning is made, how early experiences echo in the now, and how the parts of themselves they’ve pushed aside continue to speak, often subtly.
He holds a deep respect for the unconscious and for the ways people have protected themselves. Therapy can be a place where those patterns are gently named, where old defenses begin to soften, and where something new might slowly come into being. Not through pressure, but through presence, relationship, and time.
His work focuses on exploring clients’ experiences so they can gain clearer insight into themselves and their circumstances. He works with young adults and adults in individual sessions. Those he works with may be struggling with anxiety, depression, a crisis, intrusive thoughts, hurtful memories, questions about themselves, sexuality, gender, suicidal ideation, and more. He invites clients to join him in a space where they can listen and speak fully.
This work isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about coming into fuller contact with who a person already is, and from that contact, creating new possibilities for how they might live.
Robert earned his Master of Science in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Deree, The American College of Greece in Athens, Greece, and his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tel Aviv University.
Robert Levy, LPC-A is practicing under the clinical supervision in Texas with Allison Baker, LPC-S.
