

Michael Paz, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, fluent in English and Spanish, with nearly 15 years of experience supporting individuals through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, and issues related to cultural identity and diversity. His approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and acceptance, with the goal of creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore their personal experiences. He views therapy as a collaborative, non-judgmental process centered on the client’s unique story. He will work with clients to process emotions as they arise in the present moment, helping them deepen their self-awareness and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Michael has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings including schools, detention centers, community non-profits, group private practice and university clinics. He has taught and supervised master’s level students at various universities. Michael earned his master’s and doctorate in counselor education from University of North Texas.
