

Jennifer Mauk’s role at Samaritan Center is the Staff Wellness Counselor for the Dripping Springs Independent School District (DSISD) where she provides counseling and support to teachers and staff at all eight schools in the district. She supports the mental health and well-being of all employees in the district.
Jennifer is a Licensed Master Social Worker providing therapy services with a focus on trauma-informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In recent years, she has pursued intensive training in DBT to better support clients navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Jennifer has experience working with a range of populations, from teens to adults, helping individuals develop coping strategies, resilience, and overall well-being.
Her professional experience includes work in domestic violence shelters and school-based settings, where she gained extensive experience in trauma-informed care and family support. Jennifer draws on her background in education, both as a teacher and coming from a family of educators, to provide support for school staff and families.
Jennifer earned her Master of Social Work from The University of Kansas and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University.
