Haven Jimenez is a Bachelor of Social Work student completing her practicum at Samaritan Center as a care manager. She is pursuing her degree at The University of Texas at Austin with a minor in business. She plans to earn her Master of Social Work and pursue clinical licensure in the future.
As a care manager, Haven works to connect individuals in the Austin community with the resources they need, helping clients navigate and overcome barriers to accessing support and care. She brings nearly four years of client-facing experience from her role at TopGolf, along with prior experience in reception and volunteer service, including her time at Angel House Soup Kitchen. Haven was drawn to social work after witnessing the difference it makes when someone simply shows up for those who lack a strong support system, and that belief continues to guide her work today. She approaches her internship with a genuine passion for service and meeting each client where they are and helping them feel seen, supported, and heard.
