The 4th Annual ATX Veterans Ball was held on March 5, 2021, benefiting Samaritan Center. This event raises awareness and garners support for the mental health needs of veterans and military families in our community. This year’s gala was a one-of-a-kind virtual event.
Established in 1974, Samaritan Center’s mission is to heal hearts, provide hope, and enhance lives with a holistic approach to mental health for all ages, whole families, and the military community. Our largest program, Hope for Heroes, helps veterans, service members, and their families overcome emotional trauma and reintegrate into our community. Evidence-based counseling, integrative medicine, and peer support are offered. We’re happy to report that in 2020, we expanded Hope for Heroes to include first responders. They, too, are heroes. With COVID-19 there is a mounting mental health crisis. Our work has never been more important, and raising funds has never been more essential. With your support, we can provide free and affordable mental health care.
The Veterans Ball was established to raise funds for our military programs. In 2020, thanks to a generous community, and the funds raised through this event, we provided services to nearly 1,000 veterans and family members.
At Samaritan Center, we heal hearts, provide hope, and enhance lives with a holistic approach to mental health for all ages, whole families and the military community. Samaritan Center is one of the largest nonprofit providers of counseling and integrative medicine services in Central Texas with a 47-year history. The scope of services, starting in early childhood, stands as an accessible and affordable safety net.
