Peter Weiss is a licensed clinical social worker who has practiced in a variety of treatment settings including community-based counseling centers, K-12 public school systems, and adult residential treatment facilities. He has worked with children, adults, couples, families, and groups. Peter’s approach to working with people is one that is strength-based, and solution-focused. He believes in a client–directed approach that is outcome-informed. This is done by incorporating feedback on what is and isn’t working both in terms of goals that the individual is striving to achieve as well as the relationship between the individual and the therapist. Peter is trained in the use of EMDR, a therapeutic approach that is used to treat trauma.
