Don received his M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. Prior to becoming a licensed professional counselor, Don was the Executive Director of the Austin Child Guidance Center, a non-profit outpatient mental health facility for children and families. He also has a master’s degree in Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University and a doctorate in Public Health from the University of Texas at Houston.
Don assists clients in identifying and making needed changes by providing them with insight and appropriate skills. He works with persons experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, life transition, parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, and spiritual issues. Don also offers premarital counseling including an assessment, SYMBIS. In addition to his couples counseling, he offers a five session structured program, Discernment Counseling, for couples who are on the brink of divorce.
