The Samaritan Counseling Center
Who We Are
For more than 30 years, the Samaritan Center has been saving lives, healing emotional wounds and giving hope to Central Texas families.
We are a non-profit, interfaith counseling ministry whose mission is to promote hope, healing and wholeness through accessible services for the child, adult, family and community. We provide counseling to overcome abuse and adversity to teach healthy life skills and strengthen families. Our staff is sensitive to spiritual issues but does not impose religious concepts or beliefs on the people we help.
We provide counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, families and older adults that are experiencing problems that prevent them from leading healthy and productive lives. We strive to help everyone regardless of ability to pay. In the last ten years, the Samaritan Center has provided over $2.5 million in charity care for children and families in our community.
The Samaritan Center is accredited by the Samaritan Institute in Denver Colorado and part of an international network of Samaritan Centers serving in more than 400 offices in 35 states and Japan. Each center is owned and operated by its own local Board of Trustees as a not-for profit organization. The work of Samaritan Counseling Centers has been acknowledged by the American Medical Association, the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, the PresidentÙs Commission on Mental Health, and major religious denominations.
